hi, not quite a new member, but just starting my second garden after a move and nip in here for advice and a browse of what everyone else is doing :)
Not sure what the netiquette is for this, but I'd love to be able to post links, but not enough people like me :( lol! Can I have just one like and I'll be allowed? Please? I'll like you back :D

Hi, nice to 'meet' you! I'm just 'down the road' from you on the Notts/Derbyshire border. So have you got a blank canvas, inherited a mature garden or something in between? :)

      Wow, thanks everybody! :D
The garden was mature, but not very 'gardened' iyswim? Mainly grass, we let it go a bit wild while we got the house done.
Plans are a circular front lawn with magnolia stellata in the middle. Borders are dug out of lawn with some plants in, mainly donated, people have been very generous :)
Curved path to front door is laid and rockery/bed at side filling out nicely.
There's a large side garden which I'm not sure what to do with yet, a brick wall with potential there. I think probably some meadow seed next year, perhaps dig a border out in the future.
The very wild area at the back we've had cleared and seeded, that's got the compost bin at the moment. Plans for fruit trees and woodland bulbs.
An area at the back with greenhouse and shed, plans for raised beds in front. Right next to the house though, so it's all got to look pretty!
Then outside the conservatory, a patio and shrubbery. We had some bad flooding earlier this year though so waiting to see how that pans out before committing to anything. Had a quote to sort it out of £8k-eeek!
I can't remember what it was I wanted to post with links, but at least now I can, thank you :)
I'll try and find some pics....

Just nipped out to take some. The bread basket is over a hole. Next weekend's job is to fill what was the front path with topsoil and seed it. The hole is an attempt to help with the drainage...
