If you get an Email purporting to come from UKMail, com, check the tracking number. If it is
    UKMail 988271023
then it is a Scam with Malware in it. Delete without opening.

Funnily enough, I'd just deleted one of those a few minutes ago!

It's now the time of year when people get caught with phishing 'delivery', 'your order' type emails. I delete the lot, whoever they appear to be from.

I have had several this week purporting to be from paypal, apparently I bought an xbox on Black Friday, delivery to U.S.A. address, this came to my everyday email account, paypal doesn`t have that address, also address read payzpal, ?, contacted them, freefone, confirmed what I was looking at on my paypal account, which I had logged into independentl, no such purchase

As I don't buy anything that has tracking I don't even bother with these scams. :noidea:

They do seem to getting more common these days . I get about one per week mainly ...
        - Delivery tracking click ons
        - Bank ,Building Society , paypal etc etc asking to confirm accounts
Why oh why can't the ISPs filter these emails out . It really can't be that difficult , can it ?

It's the opposite to that, if you do buy stuff that has tracking (via user accounts) it enables one to ignore all those spoof phishing delivery emails and check the real delivery status online.

If you get one from PayPal then forward it to [email protected]. They are very good at dealing with these fraudulent things.
One from E-Bay is forwarded to [email protected].
        Amazon is stop-spoofing @ Amazon .co.uk

That's OK for people that are modern tech savvy, like yourself. :blue thumb:

I deal with a lot of people that believe most of what comes in on their computer . At least I've now got most of them to contact me when they receive them :phew:. I also pop round every so often to update their email filters. :dbgrtmb:

 I also have received spoofs appearing to be from pay pal for items around £50.
There is info at the bottom of the e- mail saying if you don't recognise this or didn't order it you may have been hijacked.
All you need to do is log on here and cancel.
All they require is name address, bank details etc.
Surely if they have sold me this item.........this is the minimum requirement they would have needed.
          It beggars belief.

I get an email from an insurance company with large blue writing on it as they are links, now I want to unsubscribe from getting them but no subscription link.
Some one has sold my mail address to them I bet, so how do I get rid of them :wallbanging:

Do you go online to your mail server or do you download your emails to a programme on your computer, such as Outlook.

If it's a computer based programme you can usually set filters for them. If it's a server based programme, then most servers also have filters that you can set. I do both. It won't stop all bad emails as some of the senders generate a new, false, email addresses each time.

I have a very annoying one called eSurf, which hijacks my home page and directs me to gambling sites and so on. I'm pretty sure I acquired it while trying to download a PDF of a servicing manual for my oh's new lawn tractor
My bt net protect doesn't find it, and I've tried various other virus checker/ malware removal programs, but apparently eSurf gets into the registry and is very difficult to remove. Reinstalling browsers doesn't work either.
Anyone had experience of this? Or have a solution other than a clean reformat of the PC?
