What do others use to combat threats

 

You could try Malwarebytes for a solution, how's this for dedication in sorting out somebody's problem

I use Spybot, Malwarebytes, Windows Defender and WinPatrol. The last one will not allow anything to alter your machine without you giving permission. Can be a bit of a nuisance saying Yes to things, but better than having your machine hacked.

 

I use a Nigerian security consultant in Lagos who assures me my bank details and internet passwords are safe in his hands so I dont really need to worry about phishing scammers.

 

Windows 10, and Firefox. I tried malware byte with no success. Also panda. And tried rolling back to a previous version of Firefox. But it's there in chrome and ie as well.
Just read through that forum from malware bytes, goodness me! There's a man who knows his job! I will try that when I have a few hours free, but it looks scary:(
