Dull, mild and not much wind, max 12c and possibly only down to 9c tonight!

Looks like Tuesday and Wednesday could be 'interesting'.

Overcast and 13c. I'm happy with that.

Grey and breezy again today but slightly warmer at 11C/52F. The next couple of weeks are looking scary with more rain and gale force winds. :doh:There is definitely something to be said for hibernation. :)

With a top temperature of 54f it felt very mild today, especially as there was a no breeze to speak of. Having said that there was no sign of the Sun, again, due to long trains of billowy clouds of alternating grey and white although they produced no rain. Right now the skies are still cloudy, so no observing tonight, but it's still dry with a temperature of 53f [] and a pressure reading of 1024mbs. The forecast is for the dying storm that was dropping record snow on the USA to give us all heavy rain and high winds on Tueday.:coffee:

Well we had 15 deg ( I think that's about 57 deg in foreign temp ) today.
The bare root plants I had/planted from Parkers in early December ( Iris Ensata/Iris Sibirica ) are sending up new shoots. I hope they'll be alright as they're in massive, heavy ceramic containers so I won't be able to move them.

Over here, we experience at least one nasty snowstorm every winter. I am talking about 2 plus feet of snow in one storm. And every year there are those who are not ready for their environmental normals.

We have a briggs/stratton snow thrower for when things are bad otherwise it is a shovel and sweat. A good work out.

I am upset to hear about deaths associated with these storms but am angry that so many are due to stupidity.

Yesterday the states got a baddy, we're next. Thank goodness we Canucks don't have these ultimate penalties to pay.

I have my shovel on standby all winter long and I always add an extra pathway to the bird feeder and greenhouse.

Life is good and having copious amounts of snow from time to time, makes one appreciate the lack of it!

              Chill, it's all good.... really....:)

Sunny day today. Driveway plowed, thanks to my plow guy, banks of snow on each side over 6 foot. Little paths dug. Cars moved out. other snow every where is above the knees. A good work out to move down to fill the bird feeders and back. glass of wine. suppose to be warmer tomorrow.

Here its 3C, and we still have dense fog. Most of the snow has melted, so there will be no going out into the garden for a while, its far too soggy.

How I long to get in there though and do some work...

                    7.5C, damp but really mild.
I hope we are not going to pay for this mild weather in February & March! :th scifD36:

It's cloudy and dry with a temp of 10.3C. It's very windy though and looks like it's about to chuck it down any minute.

We're sitting at 34f/2c - talk about a dramatic increase in temperature. It's cloudy too.

Think I'll take the car down to the coin wash and gently spray all of the salt from it. I don't take my car through those automatic washes and it's still a little too chilly to pull the hose out and hand wash.

Going to be a great day!

Woke up this morning and the sun was shining and the sky was blue and pinkish, seems such a long time since I'd seen a proper sunny start to the day. 15c and mostly sunny all day, lovely.

Oh; how very disappointing for your family - especially when you went to so much effort (and expense) to try to find an owner before adopting him into your hearts as a forever friend  (I'll lay money on it he will come back and visit at some point).
Before we moved here there we had "Colin" visit us from time to time (Colin the Feral Cat, that is). He would appear, enjoy a cuddle, sleep on the bench in my porch ... then disappear for months on end. Always during Autumn/Winter he would be there. Well, until we got Ozzy  They didn't quite see eye to eye.
Maybe having one of your own might be on the agenda? There are plenty in the rescue centres who are just begging to be adopted by the right family :grphg:
