Ive never done it or intend to atm as i know nothing :help: but today i think i stumbled across some.
Let me explain we have an old shed at the end off our garden we tend to use it for rubbish as it has no doors (so if things get stolen it dont matter :hehe: )
So today i was looking around it and to my shame i found this old bin bag Tess the pup k-lhad been in and ripped a hole in the side of it.
Its been stuck in the corner for over a year we foggot it was in the shed tbh anyway some of the spoils were on the floor.
when i got closer and looked at it i though it looked like the compost i have bought i asked the boss about it :gnthb:
She said it was garden rubbish from the front garden and she had forgotten about it and said its been in the shed for about a year or so.
I got to thinking and wonder if i should use it and mix it with some compost ? it just looks like the stuff i have bought.
I dont see why i should give it to the bin man if i dont need to if you require a pic i will post one thanks Mike

What you take out of the ground, you put back. Don't waste it. The worst that can happen is you'll get a load of weed seed germinating but they'll be easy to pull out. If you use it as a mulch on your flower/veg beds I can't see it doing any harm.

Thanks for the reply terrier sorry for my late responce i have this new hobbie that is keeping me busy :gnthb:
I dont know if i have mentioned it :hehe: anyway that was my feeling ont he matter (exuse the pun :hehe:)
So what i did was got real dirty sifted it with my hands took some stones and plastic out (even what i can only asume was a steak and kidney pie tray) how did that get in.
then took out the good compost from the top placed that on the bottom and put the good stuff back on top.
my thinking on that was it would give it even more time to rot so fingers crossed i hope it will be fine :thumb:
