Heres an internet tip for you, if you have websites with **** search facilities you can use google to search them....
I think ants only take dead stuff away, so if your using it out side i wouldn't worry about them. They'll probably disappear anyway because...

spindly stems normally mean there isn't enough light. But it depends how spindly you mean.
Anything slow cooked with mutton is amazing. I get it from my butcher all the time.
