£4.99 for 15 kg of pellated chickem manure

EDIT 15/1/2012: Saw a new price label today showing £14.99, but whether that's correct or it should be £4.99 can only be verified by getting a price check at customer services.

At Homebase today (whilst buying some 6 packs of primroses reduced from £3.75 to £1) I noticed 15 kg sacks of 'Early Bird' pellated chicken manure for £7.49, worked that out as £4.99 for 10 kg and put a sack in the trolley.

Checked the receipt and saw the were being charged at on £4.99 a bag - they obviously had the wrong price on the display - so I went back and bought three more. That's only £3.33 for 10 kg, the size of a standard bucket.

 

Ah, dear old GC. Where a large bag of chicken poo can be the source of so much happiness.

 

I have managed to better that 33p/kg above - got some for 25p/kg today.

Bargain hunting at Homebase today I noticed their 3 kg boxes were reduced to £1.50 plus on BOGOF, so only 75p each. If only it had also been a 10% off day:
