Just spotted this at my favourite haunt (other than GC:D) hotukdeals.com, The Eden Project are offering an annual pass for just £5 or £10 for two years! although the catch is you have to have your main residents in Devon or Cornwall

If you live in Devon or Cornwall and visit us between 3 Jan and 10 Feb you can come in for just £5 and get a Locals' Annual Pass for one year, or buy two years' entry at this year's price for just £10!

This offer, open exclusively to people who have their main residence in Devon or Cornwall, provides an annual pass so that you can enjoy all the seasonal changes to our plants as well as the huge array of events we have throughout the year. Get hold of a Locals' Annual Pass and you'll have the freedom to visit whenever you like. We're offering an annual pass to locals for a fiver in recognition of all the support we've received from people in Cornwall and Devon in the 10 years since we opened in 2001.

How to get your Locals' Annual Pass
•Visit Eden between 3 January and 10 February 2012. Please check our opening hours before visiting to avoid disappointment.
•You'll only pay £5 entry for each person (adults and children), or £10 each for the two-year pass, on the day and you'll also get your Locals' Annual Pass which allows you entry for either a whole year or two years.
•Remember to bring photo ID with your address on it such as a photo driving licence (which has both) or alternatively a passport accompanied with a utility bill to prove that your primary residence is in Cornwall or Devon.
•Children aged under 14 must be accompanied by an adult when getting their Locals' Annual Pass: the proof of residence provided by the adult will also cover the children accompanying them.
•If you have already bought a one-year pass for £5 and would like to upgrade it to a two-year pass for another £5, you will be able to do so at the Eden ticketing desks between 3 January and 10 February 2012.

Terms and conditions
The Locals' Annual Pass is available exclusively to people whose primary residence is in Cornwall or Devon (ie addresses with postcode starting TR, PL or EX). You cannot use your Locals' Annual Pass in conjunction with any other offer, such as the discount on entry for arriving at Eden by foot, bicycle or public transport. You can only get your Locals' Annual Pass at the ticketing desks at Eden. They are not available by post

BTW Fri 6 – Sun 8 Jan 2012 there is free entry for local members of the armed forces (Please bring proof of employment eg a payslip or ID badge).

although if you buy your tickets online at about £18 I believe and then tick the giftaid box you get a years pass as well as then they can treat your ticket price as a donation rather than admission and so they don't get taxed on it:o

If you build something on a peninsular, its not going to be the in place to go off season.
