Well it is not the greatest April - early May for gardeners . Spruce mentioned in another thread how late his plans were. Normally I would be planting up some baskets and containers around now - no chance at the moment everything is snuggled up in the potting shed with the heater on tonight :gaah: I reckon we are going to lose the best part of 3 weeks this year before we can feel safe to plant bedding out .

Aha, but then it could be the hottest June, so keep those tender veg ready for planting out just in case we get a bumper tomato year.

I haven't sown any squashes or beans yet, they won't be able to go out for weeks and I have enough tender seedlings hanging about going leggy as it is. Trouble is, I've had to use the propagator to get them going, now it's still far too cold to move them on.
