Well to be honest Miraflores we have known about this change for at least 6 months now... They do like to change them every now & then anyway, but there has been a huge huge, forgery problem with the Elgar notes so I think that may have allot to do with it..!!
To be fair, there are very few Elgar notes in circulation now though, all the Adam Smith notes now.. :thumb:

I thought the 'new' Adam Smith notes have been in use for at least a couple of years now, haven't seen one of those Elgar notes for ages. It's good to check that you don't have any of the old Elgar notes stored under your mattress I guess.

I really hate carrying small change! Imagine that: in Italy, where they use the euro (which I am not that familiar with yet!) they have also 1- eurocent-coin which is probably the size of my small finger nail...! What use is that for, other than making the purse heavier, I have no idea...

Again? The last time was three and a half years ago, so a change is always good!

Do people still have money stored at home? The most we have would be a bit of shrapnel or the contents of wallets, but never notes squirrelled away.
