Just returned from next door after sharing some of my malt with Celia next door who is 104 today...!
Can you imagine that? 104 years old and still batting on.
Can you imagine the history she has seen?
Tell you what... I`m glad I never entered a drinking contest with her.
I would be out in the first round.

      That's a good age !
In my job i visit quite a lot of folks in their early to mid 90's which is good going too !
If you start chatting to them a lot of them will tell you they drink a fair bit of alcohol - so maybe it's better for us than we're led to believe :D

      A Happy Birthday to Celia.

I am hand rolling one as I type, not enough fingers. I am in the same boat there, didn't like it at first, but now enjoy the ritual.

There is a Religious retreat along the Jurassic Cost that I often wonder about, but I bet its just about "workshops" & stuff.

Maybe GC ought to have its own Monastic Gardens, a place for us all to chill & grow veg.:pickflower:

Someone elderly (88 yrs) that i visit quite frequently drinks a litre of whiskey each day.
He went into hospital (unrelated incident) recently and it was discovered that he had a tumour, in his bladder, the size of a golf ball.
It was operated on and he's back at home but ....... he now can't stand the flavour of whiskey anymore !
(The whiskey was probably a painkiller for him)

Isn't the human body amazing !
