    Hi Woo,

Blimey, that looks more like Siberia than Kent.

Did anyone actually try walking on it, Woo? Don't think I'd go anywhere near it. :( But apparently the Thames froze in Victorian times (no Ziggy, I wasn't actually there) and people skated on it. Presumably there were no Health and Safety officials to point out the obvious hazards.

Sorry, Alice - we have got used to having things easy in the South recently and so the last couple of winters have been a bit of a shock.

I think that was year that sea at Margate froze as far out as the pier....
Great chunks of dirty ice around as the tide went out.

Looks like we're having another of the same this year. Difference is we've got central heating and a great wee stove :luv:
Thanks for the pics - and the memories. It wasn't all bad.

:thmb: Get your 16mm film converted Dave... Priceless memories.... We had three converted to DVD format by a friend & we were gobsmacked by just a few fleeting shots of them on there that we hadn't really noticed before at the time....
:thmb: Now they speak volumes & are memories of old relatives who left us not too many years after the film was taken, where we had no photos we thought & yet there they are on our films...!!! A huge surprise & a nice warm feeling... Have had stills taken from movie frames... It is wonderful Cajary if you are a tad sentimental as I am..!!! :dh::wink::D:thmb:
