Does anyone (Scrungee?) know the details of Homebase's 200 Nectar points offer? I used to work overseas so I'm kinda new to Nectar, but it seems that if you spend at least £1 in Homebase garden section, you get 200 Nectar points (i.e. £1 worth) next time you make any purchase in the garden section. So after my initial purchase I basically can get an infinite number of £1 garden purchases, effectively for free? Awfully tempting as there's a Homebase just down the road from my house.

@Cinnamon Did you get a voucher instore or have read about this somewhere?

This was happening about a month or so ago and I mentioned it on this thread, but haven't had any vouchers since they changed them toone for plants just before Mothers Day and then to money off pots at Easter and I have't bought anything there since, so hopefully they're back.

        Thread http://gardenerscorner.co.uk/forum/threads/free-gardening-stuff-from-homebase.110853/

P.S. I think the recent Nectar 'double up' promotion (that made 200 points worth £2) has now finished, but they occur regularly.

Thanks, Scrungee. It appears the instore paper vouchers are back, at least at my store.

(I've hammered the recent Caffe Nero offer of a drink for 50 Nectar points.)

Haven't there been free coffees there every Tuesday with O2 Priority?

I might try buying something I need, and if I get vouchers then bags of this, my favourite MPC for large plants @ £2.97/50L http://www.homebase.co.uk/en/homebaseuk/j-arthur-bowers-multi-purpose-compost---50l-058979 With £1's worth of points back on each one it would be £1.97 and I use half a bag per Marrow/Pumpkin/Giant Sunflower pit @ about £1 each (together with part bags of Wyevale 'manure' @ 5 x 50L bags for £18 less £5.50 in points and vouchers @ approx. 80p/plant), and 1/4 bag in pits for big tomatoes @ 50p/plant.

P.S. It's also triple (standard) Nectar Points up to 20/04/16 at Homebase. And I still see loads of 150g Phostrogen sachets which are reduced to clear at 23p/1.53Kg, which are an ideal final purchase for your last 200 points voucher.

Hmmm, sorry it didn't work for me today. I got a couple of triple points vouchers.

You use manure for tomatoes? Isn't that a bit high in N?

It's only the JAB MPC I use for Tomatoes, the manure/JAB MPC mix is only for Pumpkins, Marrows and Sunflowers.

I've previously only appeared to get 200 points vouchers on a Friday, so we kept going in and out, in and out, etc. until we didn't get any more issued at the checkout.
