Potted up a rhubarb crown "victoria", 3 asparagus "green" crowns and 2 raspberry canes "malling promise".
Only the cat grass has germinated so far (forgot to mention it and cupani sweet peas)20170115_145119.jpg

Off to sow some of longk's seeds now :)

My plot is always a swampy, clayey mess at the time of year they sell Raspberry canes, so I've always potted them up in ex-Morrisons flower buckets (with addition of drainage holes) and waited until conditions improve before planting.

I have stuck them in pots for the moment like the other ones I got, grounds too hard and I don't really want them to take over my garden anyways.. (have put in for an allotment :fingers crossed: )

Oh, btw they're poundland wonders ;) so we'll see how they do!

Am I the only brave soul sowing then?

Sweet peas have germinated, moved into the front window for now. Onions and leeks have germinated, apart from 3 of each so have put them in the porch.
Me and little one have put another packet of sweet peas (unknown) in to soak and nicked the canna seeds earlier tonight and they are soaking too, potting up tomorrow :)

                        Hi Linz,
I have to confess to sowing Sweet Peas 3 weeks ago after soaking them, the first pic 646 is one pot in a sunny window sill the others are under grow lights. I think I've sown them a little too early as they appear leggy, I have stopped one in each pot.

So far, and going back to before Christmas and onward, I have started Kelsae onions, tomatoes, 6 kinds of hot peppers, catnip, celery, drumstick and marigold seeds. A mishmash but what I was in the mood to start. Today will be pansy seeds because they don't need light to germinate. I need to reorganise my indoor lighted growing area but I need to clean out my friend's condo before getting to any of my own large projects. So I won't be starting my sweet peas for a few weeks.

                                  Radishes, what else? (More garlic)

Despite the lovely sunshine, there is frost on the ground.

They were sown mid-December, so the real question is will they make it?

canna have germinated, more sweet peas have too, 1 tiny catnip sproutling, re-sown chilli, sown solanum laciniatum.. leeks and onions still good :)

some big no-nos - mould in a clover tub (can't remember what I put in there either, oops) and I chucked some honeydew melon seeds (shop bought melon) in a pot for a crack and they've germinated.. balls, feel obliged to look after them now even though I have no hope for them.

Given the shortage of salad veg in supermarkets and keen to make a buck or two from veggies, vegans and diabetics anxious for their next fix; I'm just about to sow my early lettuce; Iceberg and Cos and and super-strength organic too. May make a fortune, if I don't get caught.:yahoo:
I think I'll try Rocket too, the effects are more immediate and the market might be stronger. Though I'm not sure if it's a class A or class B veg.
This time next year I'll either be on my yacht in the sun or in jail doing porridge. :snork:

blimmin' cats have knocked over some onions/leeks, canna have popped up, asphodeline lutea has too, thought baby slugs had moved in in a tray of cyclamen hederifolium but realised a few have germinated, ha! Cat grass is outside growing slowly but surely. Asparagus.. meh, won't see anything for a while/years, rhubarb (not the lottie ones) has a stalk! Pinched out the sweet peas, the free sweet peas I sowed are really leggy..oh well, still got 7 packets  I re-sowed chilli seeds after a no show but lost one due to my stupidity, seed case got stuck and pulled it instead of soaking it haha! Started off some new dahlia tubers 'cause I'm an impatient fool. Potted up 3 garlic cloves and they have shot up. Melons  still growing!? Ooh catnip has a second sproutling. Also sowed solanum lacinatum but no show and I have no more seed of that sooo, balls to it. Off to sow some more onion, leek and chilli.. and some peppers.. no idea why, I don't like them. Just way too eager :snork:
