3 years ago, I finally got a garden...
An east facing 12 x 23 ft bit of gass and some gravel..

    Not exactly Wrest park.....
So... the next year, and with an I can do this attitude, I got some old pallets and a bit of decking, and started on some raised beds....

Last August..... Time for a treat.... My first flowers.....
    20210906_140642.jpg
    Sedum Autumn Joy and Lavender...
Time to enjoy my hard work and plan for next step........

The winter was spent putting up a shed, building a table/bench and adding the bamboo fencing.

I decided, I didn't want to buy any plants at all (after last summers buy), and armed with an arm full of seeds......
I got on the internet and serched...
    "How to germinate seeds indoors"
    Remember, total newbie.....lol.
After some trial and error, and lots of Utube videos, my babies began to grow...
    (Sorry not pics)
    Fast forward to late spring....

Changed the bench into a two tier bed for strawberries and chillies. Added some edging to the gravel. Fed up of picking stones out the grass...

    Babies are growing.....
    Cornflowers
    Knautia macedonica
    Sunflowers solar flash
    Foxgloves
    Nasturtium
    Black Knight
    Echinacea

Pretty pleased with last years efforts..
Lets hope this year is goes as well ....

What a transformation! Are you going to ring the changes by continuing to grow different flowers from seed?

              I am.....
This year I am trying 3 types of sunflower....
              Firecracker 2-3ft multihead
              Solar flash 3-4ft single head
              Chocolate 5ft single head
              Also some Black eyed susans...
              Goldilocks
Making some changes to the far right side to, as it in shade till 4pm.
Building a feature, and allowing the Nasturtium to spread towards it...
              Well, thats the plan....

Well done. You have worked hard to achieve such a great result in a short time.

If you like watercress, you an eat the Nasturtium flowers and young leaves, not too many, cut fine in a lettuce salad adds colour and a new twist on the flavour

@Sarah100! ,..beautiful finish to your garden :),..nice display of Foxgloves as well,..they should self seed to give you a mass of new flowers for next year so watch out for the young plants after seeds drop.
