I was wondering how many plants I will need for my basket?

I have the following plug plants:

    Petunia "baby red with eye"
    Petunia "priscilla"
    Petunia "hot salmon"
    petunia "sky Blue"
    Trailing fuchsia "dark eyes"
    Trailing fuchsia "claudia"
    Geranium Ivy leaf "Red Sybil"

Will this be enough for a 35cm basket or will it be too much?

I haven't got a clue, my dad said that about 4 would be enough per basket???

[IMG] Sounds good to me Lelly,Its all a matter of taste,I personaly would put them all in for major impact and an extraverganza of colour, but you could get away with 4.The more you put in the more feeding and watering(every day) in summer they will need, plus I recomend some water retaining granuals.
I planted two 18" baskets yesterday and I put 12 plants in each.
This is how they could look........Good Luck.

I wrote here but obviously didn't post!

That's beautiful, my dearest. I went out today and bought the double lilac-coloured petunia along with a double fuchsia-coloured one and a dark fucschia-coloured geranium to have a go again at a hanging basket for the kitchen patio. They are very difficult to keep here.

Windy you are lucky, in Cornwall you should be OK putting things out now.
Things like fuschias, petunias, busy lizzy could all catch late frosts. If you have a greenhouse you can keep them there, or you can rush out with some fleece and cover them if frost is forecast.
Some of my basket plants are only seedlings yet ... oh dear, next year I will be organised.
