This is a plant grown from a seed collected by my niece in a botanical garden in Mallorca. As far I remember, the seeds were large, flat and brown, sort of Pine seed like.

Any ideas? I'm toying with Jacaranda but they were not in flower when we were there in late May, and the habit looks a tad Legum-ish somehow.

Good heavens @pete , it must be! And there have I been, staring at the plant for a year and not having a clue.

        Thanks! :)

I have one in the garden in a very sheltered position.
But it's taken a battering this winter frost wise, so it's on the touch and go list at the moment.
