Just had a walk up to our local GC , and saw these two plants on the cafe patio area. As they had no identity label - just rather hefty price tags - I wondered if anyone on here could help. Took the pics with a mobile so not top quality or colour.

    TIA :)

I think the first one could be a fatsia, don't know about the second, but it is very pretty.

I agree that the first one is a fatsia. The second one is a member of the nightshade family. It is a popular plant - I just wish I could remember the name at the moment. :D

    Thanks All -
the Fatsia checks out. But does anyone know the type of Solanum ? I have a Solanum Glasnerium a very nice shrub with purple flowers , but the flowers are not as many as the photos of mine and WOOs. My Solanum flowers in clusters not evenly distributed like this. By the way the price for this was £40 in a planter with some Bacopia !

I definitely agree with the Solanum rantonnetii .... mine is a treelet about 10 foot tall because I keep it trimmed to that .... but here are a few flowers ....

    Lovely Woo and Sis.

You probably have to bring yours indoors in the winter, don't you Woo?

Sis, that is the one to the right of the gate on the garden side, isn't it`?
