    Hi,
    Thank you for allowing me to join what appears to be a wonderful site. Although I love all types of gardening, as well as farming, (a rarity in farming, as most farmers dislike gardening, in my experience) over many years, I realise there is always much more to learn than I can ever know, so I look forward to learning much, here.
    My own specialist areas are in arable crop agronomy, and in particular the practical and commercial development of Miscanthus and other so called Energy Crops as potential alternatives to fossil fuel use to help mitigate climate change. Our interest is also in the local development of such crops internationally, where, in economically and socially deprived areas, they can provide significant social benefits through employment and local empowerment.
