Not a lot to see this time of year, first time I have not seen a Hoopoe!!!
    In and around Alcudia:
Spotted Flycatchers were everywhere usually in twos or threes and fairly tame.

The young ones can't take the heat so it's siesta time.

One Osprey flew over the Hotel balcony as I sat watching the Egrets and nearly missed it hence the poor shot.

Sardinian Warbler , quite a few around and again not shy.

    The only Woodchat Shrike seen.

    More to follow.

      Brilliant :blue thumb:

Did you walk through the Boquer Valley? It's supposed to be the best place on the island for bird watching.

It is Shiney but only in Spring and Autumn, too hot for a lot of walking as a couple of days it was 35c and always windy (can't get away from it).
The S'Alberfuera wetland Reserve was dry.
      Stone Curlews.

There are three at the bottom of the pic, one facing but almost invisible.

      Little Ringed Plover.

Purple Gallinule or Swamp Hen, like a giant Moorhen.

Audouin's Gull, once rare , now increasing and quite an elegant Gull.

Purple Heron, at a tiny Reserve at the back of Puerto de Pollensa.

      Little Egret.

Cattle Egrets flying past our balcony.

Another lovely lot of photos :dbgrtmb:.

The Boquer Valley has always been OK when we've walked through it because the wind blows through it from the sea. I hadn't the faintest idea what birds we saw (mainly just heard them) but some seemed to follow us through the shrubs but kept out of sight.
