A few photos of some special birds taken at the lake I used to look after in Cheshire;

Kingfisher




A Treecreeper feeding off a nut feeder at the feeding station; something many 'experts' claim they won't do!!


And one special one that wasn't at the lake and I can't take credit for is this of a peregrine falcon, taken by a friend of mine on an industrial building

 

I've only had kingfishers in the overhanging bushes on the opposite bank of a small stream I've been fishing before, but many a happy hour watching water voles in the margins, hares running around like crazy all around me and foxes walk within a few yards before they scarpered. Sometimes it seemed like they were all less scared than the fish.
