i thought I'd share some photos of this morning's walk....it was beautiful!! image.jpeg
First thing this morning, and the sunlight starts to break out on the trees on the other side of our valley

    image.jpeg
The last few leaves in the woods as we walk up towards the plateau

    image.jpeg
Judging by the sniffing dogs, I guess the deer were here earlier!

image.jpeg The frost on the dying foliage was breathtaking

    image.jpeg
One of the local woods was "harvested" last month - the felled trees are waiting to be collected

    image.jpeg
A view across to Waterloo (to the left) and Braine l'Alleud to the right. A little too misty to make out the Bute du Lion....

    image.jpeg
Some of the locals, enjoying the morning sunshine at the watering hole...

image.jpeg Finally get back home, to see our little valley now bathed in morning sunlight - we will have to wait until after noon before the warmth of its rays touch our garden again...

Well, I certainly needed a cuppa to thaw out when I got home - it was -1c when I set out, about freezing when I got back. Still have bits of ice around the house, although officially the temperature rose to 6c....

Beautiful photos. I love the misty one, with the rolling fields.. it looks like a very hard ground frost there, maybe -7C on the surface soil .. it's that 'type' of frost.
