As some of you know I have an health issue (nasty hernia). Today has been problematical to say the least but our 11 year old Dalmatian boy (Zak) has more than stepped up to the mark, he won't leave my side, keeps the other dogs at bay and insists on resting his head in my lap!

Why do I love dogs? They make the best of friends, thankyou Zak, love you too.

Let's hope you get the hernia sorted soon Vince. Dogs instinctively know when we're not 100% and make that known to us the best way they can. :)

Hope you heal soon Vince and pleased Zak is of comfort to you.

Dogs and cats have senses that can sense illness/unhappiness in a human and often show signs of special affection. Cats (and dogs) are often regular visitors in nursing homes and hospitals ... I believe Daisees (haven't seen her around for a while) had/has a cat on such a programme.
