can't vouch for their quality, but at this price they look tempting. especially as 7dayshop say

"We are delighted to offer you a 30 day money guarantee back if not 101% satisfied ! "

beware of cheap bushnells available on ebay, i got a pair as a pressie and there aren't up to standard. probably a copy rather than originals. At the mo I use a pair of cheap 7dayshops own 10x42 but they seem to have been discontinued. I also have a tiny pair of jenoptics in my camera bag, just in case. they are fiddly to use and only 8x20 but then they do only weigh 160g and are crystal clear optics. I think jenoptic is part of carl zeiss who have always been excellent lens makers

I was well impressed with both the site and the advise I got from the firm when purchasing a wedding present pair of binoculars for my neice - whose going to honeymoon in Africa. Take a look, and then ring them, explain what you want them for, and see what they say. The range is huge, and the price range too. Delivered promptly and well packaged.

Glen "tasco" don't have a good reputation in the optics field and are refered to as trashco you cann't get good binos for that price it's worth paying a bit extra for better quality, the Sakuras are good for the price in fact some of our lads in Iraq were having relatives send them over they were better than the standard issue, don't get any that are too powerful Ste.if they are for birdwatching you will have trouble finding your target quickly 10x-70x50 are ok

    Hi guys,

I find I can only look through my binos for a few seconds before they steam up from my breathing - Usually happens inside when I am watching the birdtable is this me or my binos?

    Strongy :D
E G W if you have an undershot jaw and breathe through your mouth the deflected exhalation could cause a problem with steaming up the lenses(only joking)make sure your bino's are at room temperature you usually get this problem when you go outside and it's cold.

    Thanks Walnut!

So if I go out and get some new ones I am just gonna have the same problem I guess!

Sadly there has been a severe lack of action on the bird table this week, due to a neighbours ginger cat who has decided to camp underneath it!

    hi imp,
know i'm late in looking at this thread & maybe you've already got your binoculars, but if not, if money isn't a problem i know Zeiss is a good name. always used to see them (Zeiss) around when i was a bit of a birder - no, i didn't get them but my ex did!

that was about 20 years ago though so things may have changed by now.

let us know what you end up with & what they're like.

EGW - i have exactly the same problem, so i must have a 'funny' jaw too :D My glasses do the same sometimes.

    cheers all

    sandra
