I think you're right about Jenny not being keen on the red wine, she's probably like another Jenny we know and would prefer a crisp white wine!!. I'll have to leave two glasses out one with red and one with white wine.:heehee:
I'm glad you like the combination, Joolz, the garden seems to like the warm wet weather and there's lots of new colours and plants showing their heads. The Trellis Entrance seems to be groaning under the weight of the Clematis, annual Sweetpeas, and the Perpetual Sweetpeas and it smells really nice. Plus the top of your head gets brushed with the hanging foliage:snork:
The Tadpoles are still Tadpoles at the moment in the two small pools and they can get out quite easily when they become Frogs. There's one growing nicely in the main pond and he sticks in the very shallow water on the ledge made for wild life to get out should they fall in.:hapydancsmil:

I'm not sure about the garden seeming invincible, Joolz!!:heehee: I do have my failures and losses but there's so many plants in the borders that they cover up such things!! But West Cheshire hasn't had really gale force winds this year, plenty of rain yes, but not real damaging winds. I'm protected from the South by a high conifer perimeter about 50 yards from my garden and from the West by several gardens and a row of house about 200 yards away so the garden is quite sheltered. But, like I said, the garden seems to be liking the warm and wet weather.
Give your seedlings some time and they will come on and grow!!! I've got some seedling hardy Geranium "Summer Snow", Echinea, Hyssops, and Primulas in pots in a sheltered place and they seem to be doing fine:snork:
