A Little Tip

    I planted cut and come again lettuce. To stop Mr slug and Mrs snail I put some bark chippings over the compost. With all the heavy rain I noticed another plus. It stops the compost splashing up over the plants:D
    I expect all you whizz kids know this already and I will look foolish:o:rolleyes:

    My slugs and snails travel across my bark chippings:(

    Mine too. I think mine know how to go up brick walls as well.

    Granny's idea is good and I'll keep it in mind.

    I think in fairness mine were fresh and much rougher than ones bought in the garden centre. We'd just munched up some branches in the shredder.:)

    I reckon my slugs are learning to fly, I saw one up on the roof the other day, maybe he had a death wish because there ain't nothing but birds up there!
