A most welcome lodger

    A gap had developed between the soil and the board around the base of the polytunnel. I got a bag of sand and was about to pour some in to fill the gap when I saw movement. I looked a bit closer and saw a pair of eyes looking at me. Then I saw another pair of eyes.
    Two toads!
    Quite difficult to get a photo but I managed today to snap one of them as it was nearer the top of the hole.
    Needless to say they are very welcome and I hope they hang around for a long time.

    Lower right (white) part of the pic is over exposed soil as it was quite dark in the hole where the toad was

    Good shot, Dave, just look at the lovely colour of his eyes! :)

    Actually I think he's hard of hearing Kedi-G. I tried him with both names and he didn't even blink:D

    Yes I'm really pleased to be acting as host for them Walnut. It's been about three years since I last spotted a toad in the garden.
    I've never seen a pair of them together before in the garden.
