Hi all, I found this forum through Google and would like to join.

I live in the Netherlands, so I guess the weather here is much like in England - for gardening purposes.

Because of a hectic job and a schedule to match - I was looking for a new relaxing hobby, and since I like plants and the outdoors - gardening it is

I expect to start in November and looking forwards to it :thumb:

Hello 337 and welcome to GC. Nice to have another 'foreigner' on board. My sister (Kedi-Gato from Germany and Florida on here) may be able to assist you since she is a border neighbour .. but depends on how close as she is in Oldenburg. I know she loves going to your country occasionally for an outing to have your lovely fried fish, obviously similar to the English fish. :)

    Enjoy the forum.

    Welkom to GC 337.

As my Sis said, I am in Oldenburg and so a good way from where you live over towards Amsterdam.

We do love our fried fish, can't get any decent over here so we go over to either Groningen or Winschoten for some. Our cousin from Wales was here recently, so we took her to Winschoten for lunch and then on to see Bourtange - fantastic!

Thanks all - this is really a nice welcome :thumb:

Kedi-Gato : Nice to meet others from "the continent" Oldenburg is not even 300 km from where I live and I suppose even more similar in terms of weather and soil. I drive through Germany often for my work - sometimes the views are simply breathtaking....

I see some members are fond of cats k-l which I also share - my parents have 5 cats and I would have had my own too if not for some allergic dear-ones....

Anyway - we are moving to the new house (where the garden will be) in November, so in the meantime the only thing I have planned are the two red maple-trees I want, but I suppose I should post this in another section of the forum :)

Again - thank you all and happy to be here :yez:
