A new one for me.

I bought this in a garden centre recently, and was quite impressed, it makes a change from the usual polyanthus etc. sold in pots at early spring time.
Not sure its hardy but I only bought it for a bit of early colour.

 

I don't know that one, pete, but it is very pretty, both flowers and leaves. The flowers remind me of something ... Tigridia or something like that? Sort of my type of plant. Keep us posted on how it progresses.

Its ornitogalum dubium.

Think I've seen it in white before, not dubium, that is.

 

Yeah it`s a relative of the Star of Bethlehem O. umbellatum.

 

I think the orange one looks better, but then I like good strong colours on flowers

 

Me too, I dislike any white flowers. When I worked in the GC I would refuse, to have white Imps or Begonias in the spring. :D
