joe - I would be inclined to go into one or two supermarkets and see what they sell.

There is another aspect of 'which should be the most popular' taking into account cost. A while ago I posted this, which I feel is just as relevent today.

    .

I try to buy fertilizers in 25 kg bags as it works out much cheaper, thouGh it is getting more difficult to find anywhere that actually stocks them.
Most places sell them in poxy small cartons or now they have discovered plastic buckets, but still the cost is extortinate.

Anyway this season when planting out my seed potatoes, I had neither any FBBlood or Growmore, but as I had "very" heavily manures the area I was planting the potatoes into with rotted stable manure, I thought they would be ok!

When I came to harvest them, there were about the same amount of potatoes at each haulm, but the were almost all small to medium sizes!

I always use manure and fertilizer when planting potatoes, this was the first year that only manure was used, and it certainly opened my eyes to manure only, terrible crop, worst ever for me!

I have now managed to buy a bag each of FBB and Growmore for next season.
I have not been able to get "Special Potato fertilizer" which the farmers use, for many years, this is about double the strength of normal Growmore, it is in tonne baGS!
