A Question on another forum: What is an Aunties Bloomer plant?

    This question has been asked seriously but in all my 50+ years of Nursery work etc I have never heard apart from in jest of an Aunties Bloomers plant..........has anybody else heard of one and better still can you identify it?

    It's probably a "family reference".
    We have a Kath's Plant & a Mam's Plant in our garden - claimed from their garden in their memory.
    OH's favourite plant is a Geranium. They're called her plants, because she's daft about them

    The only plant I have heard of with that for a "nickname" Moyra is the Hot water plant - Achimenes grandiflora..

    From Wiki..[​IMG] they come in purple & pink I think..
