My 12 year old yukka tree is starting to wilt badly and the leaves are beginning to die off. Can anyone advise how I can save it? It's a very precious plant as it was a gift when my son was born. Many thanks.

Is it an indoor Yucca or outdoor.
If its indoor type, I would say at this time of the year, the most likely cause is over watering.
But that would only be a guess.

    Hi Boot
I did some research on the Yukka plant and here is what they had to say.
If the leaves are soft and dark brown overwatering is the probable reason and if the they are crisp and brown, underwatering is the likely cause..so here is what I would do...

Check the plant throughly for any signs of infestation

    Check the compost is healthy

Check the compost is not too wet or too dry

Give the plant a light but draught-free place to overwinter

Let it live outside in the summer.

In the Spring re-pot it if necessary.

    Hope this helps!
