Today has been one of those surreal days when it has remained so incredibly 'still' and quiet all day, you could literally hear a pin drop outside, it really did feel quite eerie at times (for long periods there weren't even any birds about?!), the weather remained overcast and dry all day and reasonably mild.

Got quite a bit done in the garden and finished off at dusk with a brew in hand tending a small fire burning some prunings, old wood etc

    A perfect day :)

Same around here, a fog has formed now, really quiet apart from the Ghosts of the long dead Pirates, hell bent on reclaiming their gold, or was that a Filum??

We had a rather dismal day here weatherwise as well Bilbo and we got rather damp whilest doing our yearly leaf collecting. It was a right old damp clingy day.We popped out for an hour this afternoon and when we got back home I noticed everything was quiet and still, with no noise or bird life.

Glad to be inside in the warm now and just waiting for the cold weather to come next week.On our local weather station there was 60% chance of snow coming our way on Wednesday but it has probably changed now:snork:

Same here Bilbo, hardly a sound when I was out in the garden this afternoon.

It's odd how even the bird life seems to go quiet on such days. It wasn't totally silent here today, the resident rooks were still around, they couldn't keep quiet if they tried! Also a small flock of goldfinches turned up in the trees across the road and brightened the day with their cheery twittering. :)
