A sweet smelling interloper - What's it called?

    It's phacelia, I think. Often sown as a green manure but very pretty and bees like it.

      I've just looked it up. Sounds like the perfect plant for a job I have for it.

      EDIT: There is a warning with it unfortunately. Some people can have a nasty skin reaction if they come into physical contact with it. I don't know how nasty. Going to do some research.

      What'd that Clueless? You are spot on Madahhlia, thank you! I have a few coming into flower now, the smell is delicate but beautiful.

      re skin reactions from it, it sounds like its no worse than a nettle sting or a burn from that euphorbia stuff, so I guess its just a case of sensible precautions. Gloves when handling it and wash hands after gardening, which I'm sure we all do anyway:phew:
