    Hi folks.

Thought I'd share with you my latest project. This is an area outside the back door which has needed doing for some time. It was an area that was just concrete, not nice. A couple of months ago, whilst on a short break, we visited a local churchyard and noticed a nice feature. It was a covered gateway, the kind with a roof over. So, I took a pic and worked from that. Herewith my efforts:)

Sorry about the picture quality, but my camera seems to do this sometimes:dunno:

The plan is to paint the gateway, I'm just trying to decide what colour(s)?

    Cheers...Freddy

No, don't paint it. That will spoil it.

Thanks for the comments folks. I'll consider the painting option.
Lych Gate, didn't know what it was called, so thanks for that:blue thumb:

Its where they rest the coffin while they are waiting to take it in to the funeral service, saves it getting wet if its raining.

Superb transformation Freddy :dbgrtmb: The flags set in the blue slate leading through the lych gate are very effective . As others have said don't paint it , a natural stain would look better.
I see Ziggy has beaten me to it ! The Lych gate was used in the funeral service to rest the coffin or shroud and as a shelter. So maybe a nice coffin and corpse would finish it off :snork: or possibly a nice climbing ivy may be better.

Wow, it's like night and day between those pics! You've transformed a previously rundown space into a lovely little lane that is both inviting and beautiful.
