A typical Sunday.

    The morning stroll around the estate. I love these lobelia cardinalis I grew from seed last year which are in bloom now.

    I was a bit worried that the fremontodendron was not doing too well

    But... joy of joy, it seems it was just sulking after I moved it and all may be well again.

    The shed needs painting so today's job is to attack it with my electric sander and leave the missus to finish bits off with sandpaper and paint it.

    I was distracted by this interesting bit of action on the plum tree. Looks like a spider is filling his winter larder. I have never seen anything like this before.

    The shrubbery needs some reinvigorating, so I cut the ivy down to ground level, removed the dead forsythia and trimmed the live forsythia.

    And then it rained.
