    I am not even sure what he Is he jumped from the Pond area but i am not sure where he came from. [​IMG]

    How do you know its a female strongy?

    Is it the facial features, or the wrinkly skin. :D

    Id of said it was a toad due to the warty skin but im no expert.

    If it jumps Woo it is definitely a frog toads tend walk(did you know toads can live up to 40years) it is from the look of its size a female frog full of spawn waiting to be gripped by the much smaller male.

    It is the size that gives it away particularly this time of year.
    Pro, the main difference between Frogs and Toads
    apart from warty skin, is that toads have a large Paratoid gland behind the eardrum which contains the toxin, also the legs are longer in Frogs enabling them to jump higher than Toads.

    Woo, My Oriental Fire Bellied Toads (which are 13 years old or more) can jump a foot high and they are only two inches long. [​IMG]

    Strongy Woo is unlikley to find an oriental fire bellied toad jumping in his garden were talking Common Toad buffo buffo and they tend to walk not jump :D
