    Afternoon all

Spotted a very young sparrow in distress in the garden yesterday and don't like to see it in such a sorry state. Not properly fledged as it can't feed itself and can only fly a little. No idea how it got into my garden as there isn't a nest for a good 50 mtrs across the way. It was visited and fed once in the 2 hours Mrs Pip and I observed, I am inclined to think that the parents are inexperienced and unsure what to do with it which is a shame as it has come this far.

Was still alive this morning flapping it's wings at every sparrow that came to the feeders but to no avail, hope it survives but not looking to promising.

I'd leave it for the time being. If it's looking healthy the parents are probably still feeding it, even though you haven't seen them. Obviously it's in danger from predators, but it might just need time to be able to find it's wings.
Just keep an eye on it and see what happens. :)
