    Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens

    A Spring visit to Abbotsbury, before our pass runs out.

    A couple of the many colourful Rhodos.

      Thank you for the visit with you strongy .. love the Bamboo and of course your lizard ... don't know your white Lampranthus though, not seen it here. Also what is the pretty yellow shrub and I don't know your unknown shrub ... :dunno:

      Love the photos . A place I must visit
      .I have a few plants I have gathered on various holidays and they may well be Lampranthus ,I have a white , orange and a small flowered pale pink..Some in flower at the moment in the greenhouse ..I will photogaph then tomorrow ..

      Thanks for the comments,the yellow shrub is just a variety of Rhododendron Vicky.
      There were yellow Hibertia and Azara out in flower too.

      The Golden Pheasants were hidding Dai.
      Last time people were feeding them at the tea shop but this time there were too many dogs around.

      The dog wouldn't like that strongy, I dont think I've got a lead for her.:D
      Anyway I might be a bit far off, going to Modbury in Devon hopefully.

      Not really Armandii, it is between Weymouth and Bridport on the Dorset coast.
      I'm sure you will like Eden. Helligan (Lost Garden)is great too, totally different.:dbgrtmb:

      Abbotsbury is well worth a visit, the gardens AND the Swannery,:dbgrtmb:, Heligan is good, too.lol
