    Just a few swans!

Interlopers, probably from Dawlish or Poole.

Looking scruffy as they are moulting.

    The Ahhh factor.

Look at it, all down your front again!

    It wasn't always peaceful here!

Nice swans strongy, I once went to the sub tropical gardens there, though did not see the swannery.
I thought the bouncing bomb was tested at Reculver.

strongy ... this is ACE ... the real WOW factor and I agree 200% with the aaahh factor ... I want one.

We have only seen black swans once in A§ores in 1993 where we went for our 25th wedding anniversary.

Now .. here are gems (hint, hint) ...

I'm filling up here! I haven't seen a swan since I left UK and they are my favourite, favourite of all birds. Stunning photos Strongy.

    Wanna hear a funny story?
When we lived in Scotland (before France) we owned a small hotel on the west coast. One day we were on our way to Glasgow and gave a German guest a lift as he didn't want to cycle (his only form of transport at the time). On the way I was pointing out all the wonderful sights and then we came upon Loch Striven. "Oh!" says I, "This loch is quite famous. It was here that Barnes Wallace practiced his bouncing bomb. Have you heard of that?"

    The ether was silent......................

As usual, mouth opened before brain engaged.

Pete and Kryssy, the very first prototype was tested at the Fleet and then modified ones of varying shapes and sizes were tested at the Fleet, Reculver and Loch Striven, so all three were used.
