Went along to the Swannery as the cygnets were hatching (slightly earlier than usual).
Here are a few pics, probalbly similar to the ones I put up a couple of years ago.:)

The Blacks are not allowed to breed here as they are non native, if they do the young are taken to Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park

A lone Brent Goose who got left behind, should be in the Arctic Circle by now.

Gosh, strongy, it took me forever to find this again as I've been 'not here' so to speak and I was looking in Wildlife for it .... :dh:

Anyway, I'm here and I love your pictures and I so adore black swans having encountered them in the Açores in 1993 .... I painted a picture of mine along with a white swan of woo :luv:

The babies are to die for and I hope that lone Brent Goose is a happy bunny .... :lollol:

Thank you for sharing those wonderful pictures ... I certainly love them. :luv:

Vicky, I put it here as really the Swannery is 'managed' ie feed daily, cut reeds supplied for nests etc, so in a way I thought it wasn't right in the Wildlife topic.
We went before it really gets busy during the next 2 weekends.
