What can I say... I've never owned a dog before, so having Abi has been a shock to the system! She was 9 weeks old when I got her... needle teeth, little devil and toilet trained during a period of thick snow!

Just when I thought I had her 'trained' to a standard I could be proud of, she hit the terrible teens and was on a mission to show me up in public at every opportunity! In fact, she pulled me over and broke my arm last year!

She's almost 3 now and after stepping up the training, along with her natural maturing, she's turned into a real darling:

Recall training whilst out walking with a friend and her GSD:

Training Abi not to attack the lawnmower:

She goes on several pack walks a week:

Lol... I could go on and on...

What a beautiful dog and she must be a joy to have you as Mum. I just love that last 'pack walk' photo, so many gorgeous critters all calm with each other. I love the Huskies, t'other half said recently if we ever had a dog (which I doubt we ever would as we have been owned by cats for 44 years) we would have a Husky, they are short-haired here in the heat and look rather like that one in the middle.

Thank you for sharing your special moments.

      Here's our friend's one here ...

The huskies are lovely dogs :). When I go on holiday the lady that owns the huskies (all 7 of them), has Abi stay with her:

Poor Jenny has met Abi... meeting new people is still a bit tricky because Abi thinks guests are there to make a fuss of her, so training is on-going!

Lolimac... I'm struggling to cope with just the one dog, so you had better keep hold of your lovely boys x

We had a GSD Chloe ,and she lived to 16 years plus not quite sure of age when we got her,,she survived a stroke which left her with a wonky walk, and she went deaf ,but once you could catch her attention, which was quite easy as she kept looking at me,she understood hand signals,I could send her left or right or to come to me.

                    Loving Fred's cute expression :).

Pam... I never realised how intelligent dogs are. Abi isn't deaf but she does have selective hearing. Well done on giving up the fags :).

I promise not to make a habit of this... here's a photo of madam out with the dog walker today. I love the way the dogs are following:
