Acacia Pravissima

This is one of many that grew from seeds pete sent me..I have decided to keep it in this 16" tub on the patio for now..or could it stay in it long term?

Think I'd give it a bit of frost protection for this winter coming, just in case we get a bad one.
Dont want the roots to freeze.
It will do best if its planted out eventually

 

Thought it best to protect it for it's first winter before planting it out to allow it to get stronger,or would it be ok to plant it now?..If so should it be protected over Winter outside?

 

Think I'd get another winter over before planting out.

Apart from "Wattle",does anyone know another common name that begins with "S" ?
Someone I gave a plant to said her Mother once had one and called it by another name she couldn't remember..only the "s" begining.

 

Hi, Nick. There's Star Wattle, Sallow Wattle and Silver Wattle!

 

.... but Albizia julibrissin (syn Acacia j) is also called a Silk Tree or a Siris ... so maybe ???

 

Apparently acacia floribunda is sometimes called "White Sallow" could it be SALLOW as L of L says.
