Hello, first of all, take those stones off so you can check the compost for humidity or dryness. It will also allow the roots to breathe. If the compost is sodden, re-pot into ericaceous compost, into a smaller pot if there aren't many roots. If it's bone dry, trickle rainwater slowly into the middle of the rootball until it's thoroughly soaked, but let the excess water drain away.
Did the bare twigs have leaves on them? Did they get frosted or damaged by cold winds? Have a close look at the bare twigs. Are they the same colour as the leafy ones? Do they have live double buds? If so, it should put on new leaves with careful watering and shade and shelter. I find Miracle-Gro and Miracle-Gro for ericaceous plants very good. But if the compost is soaking wet, wait for it to dry out a bit before feeding.

Hi thanks for the reply. it's not had many leaves on the branches since I purchased it from Garden Express to be honest. most of the branches do have black and grey ends on them. I will take your advice and repot it and try Miracle-Grow thank you. :blue thumb:

Snip off the black and grey bits. That will encourage buds to break. No need to feed it for a few weeks if it's going into fresh, ericaceous compost :) Good luck!
