Acer Container Planting ?

    For a sheltered part shady area of the patio we have just bought a lovely Acer "Going Green". Now I hope to keep it looking lovely ! Is the preferred potting medium....
    • 100% Ericaceous compost.
    • A mix of 50-50 Ericaceous compost and soil , sharp sand mix.
    Also when and how would I feed this . it's about two feet tall at the moment.

      Mine were potted upto in 50/50 ericaceous and John innes no 2 and get some chicken poop or grow more every spring about now Infact.
      Dont pot into a too large container/pot they don't mind being root bound
