    This little acer never fails to impress. I say "little," as I keep it this size through regular pruning through the year.

      Superb dhr......no hope of growing that acer here. Too near the sea. :)

      Looks really nice! :)

      I have one (A deep Maroon coloured one) that I planted last year, so it's still quite small. I was thinking that maybe I have planted it a bit too close to our bedroom window though and was a bit worried thinking that one day it's going to be quite big and block out all the light. But if you can prune it that much, that's good to know!

      They can grow quite big if they aren't pruned. We've had this one over thirty years. The roots are beginning to lift the coping on our little frog pond, but I'm not bothered.
