Is it best to sow the little acorn fruit or reproducing the tree from a cutting? Any other advice?

1 wait for acorns to start to drop from tree .
2 place acorns in a bucket of warm water for about 1hr .
3 remove floaters they are no good the ones that sink are good .
4 place in a plastic bag and place into fridge for about 90 days .
5 i tie pieses of 6" long drainpipe together and fill with peat put the acorn in and top off with sharp sand place in corner of garden and wait .

      i get about 90% sucsess :D
