    Hi all,
Gorgeous day today! When's the best time to harvest seeds from my neighbours Broom? Do I wait until there are no other flowers left on the plant or can I shin the fence and 'acquire' some now? You just don't get this kind of advice from books :D

No,this is the other side whose idea of a fence consists of old pallets, doors and a bit of chicken wire thrown in for good measure  Luckily the one I'll be shinning I put up and will be here long after the house has fell down. Just hope my 'shinning' abilities haven't depleted too much with age :D Perhaps I'll send the daughter. Naughty girl! Why are you climbing the fence? I told you not to :D :D

Wait until you hear the first seed pods open with a crack! Be wary though, species don't normally produce seed that runs true. To be certain of getting the same type take cuttings which should strike without too much bother.

    Thanks frogesque,
I'll take your advice and take cuttings. Don't want to have to climb over twice :D
