Hi @lowrider69 , that looks like slug damage to me. The little devils hide up in the day, and come out in their gangs after dark. I like to get out my salt pot and torch and do evening hunting. Pop the slugs into the salt pot - that sorts them out ;)

Agree with Tetters about the pests and solutions. Torch and salt method for me too :)

You could use pellets but if you do place them under a raised stone or two and use sparingly:)

Only had it once on my Gladys about 25 years ago and I don't think it looked like the image above, I'd be more inclined to suspect snails and/or slugs.

I might have read some wrong information, but when my leaves went the same it wasn't slugs/snails it was a small insect from the googling i did i got it down to thrips, put a few pellets round you will soon find out if its a snail/slug doing the damage.

There are lots of good bugs as well as bad ones, and spraying ''just in case'' isn`t really the way to go in my book. I don`t use poisons in my own garden and generally find that everything sorts itself out. Very often nature knows best.
Of course - there are other views on the subject too.
I`ll wager you have already got rid of a lot of the problem with your night attack :)

Not good to spray for every possible pest/disease lowrider.
Pretty sure pests are slugs/snails but have a look later :)

Well done @lowrider69. I don`t know how restricting your disability is, but I hope you benefit from better nights sleep - maybe you could make up for it with a nice leisurely lay in in the mornings.
You obviously show lots of grit and determination, and you will be rewarded I`m sure with a lovely garden.:dbgrtmb:
