    Hi
I have a newish veggie plot - have grown one crop of broad beans so far. (We managed to eat some before the slugs got them!)
I've rather neglected it since, so plan to clear the weeds and plant some green manure. Can anyone recommend the best type to grow? Also, do I plant it in August and then dig the whole lot in, in the Spring? Do I cut it first or just dig? If anyone can give me some info. I'd be very grateful.

    Hi,

You can get a ready mixed pack at a garden centre, and I just turn it in, but I don`t grow veg-yet and just use it to protect the soil for the spring flowers.
